This verse means exactly what it says: if we sin willfully, voluntarily, diliberately, then we are trampling the Son of God underfoot, counting the blood of the covenant by which we were sanctified a common thing, and insulting the Spirit of grace (see Hebrews 10:29). How could such a person be a beneficiary of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for our sins? Sin is not a small matter. If we turn away from the Savior by offering ourselves up as willing vessels of sin, then how can we expect the Savior to save us?
